Overview

Our capacity development focuses on building competencies on a cascade approach through  carefully designed strategies to empower individuals and institutions to improve performance and ensure sustainability.  We ensure that our capacity development supports an organisation’s growth process in a way that leads to change implemented and achieved  by the trainees and builds-in  ownership and sustainability. Our focus is on cascade approaches that

  • Training Needs Assessment: We start with assessment of training needs. This involves exploring how the system is currently working, and what areas need support.
  • Training and workshops: As part of the comprehensive capacity development plan, our team of professionals formulates training modules and manuals to enhance the autonomy and self-sufficiency of an organisation. Our training focuses on providing skills for specific problems, using a broad set of activities, carefully designed to take into account the local cultural, policy and organisational context.
  • Training monitoring and evaluation:

Our Capacity Building Programs include: 1. Design and implement programs that help people/communities realise their fullest potential thereby help them become empowered. 2. Develop and deliver programs that aims to bring about transformation from within (an individual/group/community) and that could be sustained during the long-run without much need for external inputs. 3. Implement programs that are in-line with local priorities and goals.

1. Handbook on Evaluation, A Guide for Capacity Building on Evaluation, Centre for Good Governance and UNICEF.

2. Training Manual on Evaluation, Centre for Good Governance and UNICEF, August 2015, Consultant. Developed as aset of two manuals to build capacity of the functionaries of the Planning Department, Government of Telangana, forCGC and UNICEF, the plans are to take it forward after necessary orders are received from the Government.

5. Manual chapter writer, Futures-DFID-NACO. Developing training manuals for (i) counselling and mental health (ii)substance abuse (iii) sexual and reproductive health (iv) substance abuse for HIV prevention program (MSMcomponent) for the national program.

6. TNA Manual writer and trainer, HLFPPT-BMGF. Three modules developed are: (i) Module on STI/HIV CounsellingPeer Supervision, training and training evaluation, July, 2010 (ii) Module on Positive Prevention and counselling forANM, training and training evaluation, HLFPPT, April 2010 (iii) Communication and STI/HIV Counselling moduledevelopment and training for ANMs, HLFPPT.

1. National capacity building facilitator (Gender), FPAI-IPPF. National level facilitator for capacity enhancement on Gender Equality & Maintaining for SRH-HIV Integration in the country projects of FPAI-IPPF, A South Asia Regional Strategy.

2. National capacity building facilitator, FPAI-IPPF. National level facilitator for capacity enhancement on Gender Equality & Maintaining for SRH-HIV Integration in the country projects of FPAI-IPPF, A South Asia Regional Strategy.

3. HIV Prevention Counselling Training, HLFPPT-BMGF. Nine-months of trainings conducted for Counsellors of Prevention Programs (sex worker TI and MSM TI), HLFPPT.
